At the same time, you will also find useful information regarding the bilateral relation and friendship ties that exist between Azerbaijan and Mexico, as well as with other nations of Latin America.
Diplomatic relations between Mexico and Azerbaijan were established in 1992. Since January of 2007, this Embassy opened its doors with the purpose of consolidating the enduring friendship and cooperation relations currently existing between Azerbaijan and this region of the world. Our main task has been to work together with the Mexican authorities in strategic issues for both countries. As well, we have had a strong commitment to pursue new ways of interaction with all countries of the Latin American region. |

Inauguration of the central office of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan took place. |

July 6, 2010 President I lham Aliyev has today inaugurated the central office of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev cut a ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the building and toured it. The Head of State was informed that the newly-reconstructed four-storey building has been provided with all necessary facilities so that the personnel could work here effectively. |

The U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, visited Azerbaijan on July 4th, under her trip to Eastern Europe and the Caucasus region. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and the Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, received Secretary Clinton. On Sunday, the U.S. Secretary of State, held a meeting with the representatives of the Azerbaijani youth organizations "Irali", "Dalga”, the Organization of European Integration and the Youth Association of Azerbaijani Students. |

Pr  esident Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee, David Allan Harris.
The President expressed hope that the visit of the delegation, led by Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee David Allan Harris, would be successful. Noting that the program of the visit was intense, President Ilham Aliyev added that the visit would provide opportunities to learn more about Azerbaijan.

Baku, May 14, 2010 According to the reports circulated by the mass media outlets of the Republic of Armenia so-called “parliament elections” are being arranged to take place in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 23 May 2010.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan reiterates in this regard that the unrecognized separatist regime in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan represents nothing but an illegal structure established by Armenia on the basis of ethnic cleansing of Azerbaijani population. The so-called “elections” are conducted in order to camouflage the annexation policy of Armenia and are aimed at consolidation of the results of the continued occupation of the Azerbaijani territories.

Baku is celebrating the 87-th anniversary of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev |

Baku, May 10  The tenth of May marks the 87th anniversary of the architect and founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, world-renowned politician, national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Long queues of residents of Baku and other cities as well as foreign guests have been visiting the Alley of Honors since early hours of Monday to lay floral tributes at the national leader`s grave.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, the national leader`s family members and close friends also visited the Alley to pay tribute to him.
President Ilham Aliyev laid a wreath at national leader Heydar Aliyev`s tomb.
President Ilham Aliyev and his family members also laid flowers at the graves of outstanding ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva, prominent public figure Aziz Aliyev and famous doctor, scientist Tamerlan Aliyev.
